My name is Lexi!

Lexi is a gorgeous 2 to 3 year old Dutch Shepherd Aussie Mix, around 50 lbs.  She has been in rescue since January.  Lexi is perhaps the smartest dog we have ever come through our rescue.  She could easily become a service dog with the proper training.  Lexi's superpower is also her great weakness.  She connects with one person and that person is her whole world.  When that person is out her her sight, she gets separation anxiety.  If she can be trained to harness that energy into her service person, Lexi will be the perfect dog.  

 Lexi  is still a little shy at first, but once she warms up, Lexi is 100% LOVE!  She is very calm, just wants to sit next to someone and feel safe.  She is great on a leash, likes to go for walks, knows basic commands like sit & come and seems to be housebroken.  She sleeps quietly all night in her kennel but wants to be around people as much as possible.  She gets along with other dogs.  She will chase cats.  She is up to date on all her vaccinations and is spayed.
