Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Howdy! It’s Hefty here! I am a three-year-old mastiff mix that is looking for a new home…..again! Originally, I was brought in as a stray by Animal Control. I waited my time and was never claimed by my owners, so I went up for adoption. Before meeting new folks the shelter gave me all of my vaccinations, checked me for heartworms and I was negative, they gave me a microchip, and they had me neutered. I have spent time in a couple of homes, but nothing has worked out for me so far. I am still hopeful that just the right person hasn’t found me yet! I am a big boy at 126 pounds. I am not a fan of cats so please no cats in the home. I think I might do best in an all adult home. I just know that out there somewhere is my special family!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
