My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Peggie, a loving 5-year-old German Shepherd mix who has overcome the challenge of missing her right hind foot which we recently had to amputate the full leg and she seems to be walking much better now! Despite this, she’s full of life and eager to find a forever home.

Peggie is good with other dogs mainly ones her size

She walks well on leash and has lived in an apartment just fine

She isn’t fond of cats, so a cat-free home would be best.

She is good with kids and doing well with house training and crate training.

Comes with 2 Free dog training sessions as all our dogs do

More about this rescue

“A Dog Rescue Doing More than Dog Rescue”
We are a young rescue (3rd year anniversary in Jan 2023), but we are here to lead the way of what rescue actually means and set the standard so others can follow.

We are doing more than just rescuing the dog.
We hold monthly group training classes for the community (yes, even those without rescue dogs).

We provide free training for our foster families.
We provide free training for our adoptive families.
We are doing more than just rescuing the dog, we are changing the pattern of surrendering by providing knowledge and education through our community.
It seems like a simple thought of course, but one that many rescue groups do not follow.
