My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet little Lincoln

He is a rat terrier/chi mix that is looking for a home. He found himself in a kill shelter in Texas and since he is Heart Worm positive and has tick disease they wanted to put him down. He is too sweet not to be treated and given a chance at a wonderful family.

He is in a foster home in Golden Colorado where he lives with other little dogs to show him the ropes. He is doing great with everyone and slowly coming out of his shell! He is a shy guy at first but having other dogs really helps him come out of his shell!

He loves people and loves cuddles. He is great in the crate

Comes with 2 Free dog training sessions as all our dogs do

He has been diagnosed with heartworm, a condition caused by parasitic worms living in the heart and lungs. However, it's important to note that heartworm is not contagious, meaning it cannot be transmitted directly from one animal to another. The disease spreads through the bite of an infected mosquito, not through direct contact. Fortunately, his treatment will be paid for by POSO and he has already started the pill treatment. He is otherwise a healthy dog!

More about this rescue

“A Dog Rescue Doing More than Dog Rescue”
We are a young rescue (3rd year anniversary in Jan 2023), but we are here to lead the way of what rescue actually means and set the standard so others can follow.

We are doing more than just rescuing the dog.
We hold monthly group training classes for the community (yes, even those without rescue dogs).

We provide free training for our foster families.
We provide free training for our adoptive families.
We are doing more than just rescuing the dog, we are changing the pattern of surrendering by providing knowledge and education through our community.
It seems like a simple thought of course, but one that many rescue groups do not follow.
