Meet Twister: The Charming Canine Cyclone!

Hold onto your hats and get ready to be swept off your feet by Twister, a little force of nature in the form of a wiry-haired terrier mix! Just like the thrilling whirlwind of the movie "Twister," this spunky pup is full of energy and heart.

Twister may be small, but he's got a big personality that'll spin you right into his orbit. He's great with other dogs, cats, and adults, making him a perfect storm of companionship for any adult home. Twister was able to spend some time out of the shelter this summer and did great with the other animals, and loved to be outside.

However, like any storm, Twister has his own unique way of moving through the world-he appreciates a gentle approach and does best with consent petting. Respect his boundaries, and you'll find a loyal friend who's ready to weather any storm by your side.

If you're looking for a furry friend who's equal parts excitement and affection, Twister is ready to blow into your life and turn it upside down-in the best way possible. Are you ready to chase this little twister?

In addition to our main shelter location, we also have two satellite adoption centers at the North Aurora Pet Supplies Plus, and at the Bloomingdale Petco store.

A one-of-a-kind animal welfare organization, Anderson Humane focuses on creating and supporting mutually beneficial relationships between people and animals. Anderson Humane is a resource for pet owners, providing information and services to provide better care for their pets. Services such as our Low-Cost Vaccination, Dental, and Spay/Neuter Clinics offer affordable veterinary care options, preventing owners from having to give up their pets simply because they can’t afford care. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
