My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

A volunteer writes: Each time I've met King Patches, he's come to the front to greet me with his big fluffy cheeks and happy manners. His previous family described a boldly affectionate gentleman completely beloved for pulling people's arms to him for pets, and who also likes to get the feel of things before jumping in. I totally get it and I also know that the shelter can be a bit much with our daily sights and sounds. And usually, after coming to say hi, King Patches will pause to peer out of his condo, seeming to take meticulous notes of what everyone else is doing. And then, still thinking carefully, King Patches might take a step or two back to think things through a bit more. In his previous home, he loved to chase bugs and sit at the window, so I can appreciate that coming to the shelter is a big change for him. King Patches is looking for a fresh start with you and we hope you will come meet him today.

My foster writes: King Patches is a super friendly and affectionate senior cat looking for a home to relax in and a family to love. He is super polite when waiting for food and "asking" before jumping onto furniture. He takes things slowly, but occasionally likes to play with toys and will run around after them for brief periods. He is very good at meeting new people, loves laying near his humans, and looking out the window.
