Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Diesel is estimated to be one and a half years old. He is a sweet and shy boy looking forward to having a family. He weighs about 100 lbs. and is sensitive to loud noises (no city life please). Diesel would do best in a nice quiet home and fenced in backyard would be ideal.
Diesel would benefit from having a female four-legged companion in the home to show him the ropes and discover his new world. He is affectionate and will give you his paw to request love and attention.
Diesel was pulled from a kill shelter with Violet (a malamute/husky mix) who CHAAMP also has available

Here are three great links that have a very honest description of Alaskan Malamutes: http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews/alaskanmalamutes.html and https://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/alaskan-malamute#/slide/1 and also http://eqi.org/malamute.htm.
Please review them carefully before submitting your application. After you return the application, we'll give you a call to schedule a home visit, and we will also call the vet indicated on your application for a reference. After that we will schedule your home visit. Once your home visit is done and you are approved to adopt, you get to meet the dog(s) that are right for your family and hopefully bring one home. Please note, we require that you bring your current dogs with you when you come to meet a dog(s) to adopt.
