My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Email for details:
Buck is available for adoption in a foster home. If you're interested
in adopting, please email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org

How Buck arrived:
Buck was brought in by their previous owner.

Why Buck might be the one for you:
Buck is a wonderful young adult with a heart full of love and has the potential to thrive in many types of homes, although Buck can be picky about his dog friends. He might do better as the only dog in his household because some he likes and some he does not like. He can be shy around new people but once he knows you he'll show his affectionate and protective qualities. Buck is doing nicely in his foster home where he is learning how to be a good dog. Buck will need continued training, which we can help you with. If you would like to meet Buck and see if he could fit into your household , email us at the above address or call 619 299 7012 and we will make arrangements with Buck's foster family to meet Buck.

At SDHS:
Buck has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Buck is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
