Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Danica: Ready for Her Big Break (and Your Couch)
Clears throat. Steps up to the mic. Sheds a single dramatic tear.
“I’d like to thank everyone who believed in me — the other cats, the treat givers, the volunteers who told me I was pretty even when I had litter stuck to my nose. I couldn’t have made it here without you.”
Yes, Danica is ready for her moment. Young, fabulous, and full of feelings, she’s been practicing for this her whole life. Every soulful stare. Every graceful flop onto the floor. Every tiny, tragic meow when she thinks she’s been forgotten (even though it’s been 30 seconds).
Danica is a natural-born drama queen in all the best ways. She adores other cats, thrives with a supportive cast around her, and knows every great actress needs a few friends to lean on.
Now all she’s missing is her perfect co-star — you. Will you be the one to accept Danica’s final rose? (Wait, wrong show. But you get the idea.)
She’s ready for her forever home — and her standing ovation.More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter
Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
