Sweet, sweet Sammy, Sam the man! This adorable boy is not quite 4mo old and already weighs almost 30lbs. We expect him to be at least 65lbs when full grown. He has a healing wound on his front leg so he needs a foster home until we get a clear bill of health from the vet. He can then be adopted. It appears he was attacked by another dog, yet he still is very excited to meet and play with other dogs. He’s doing great and has no broken bones. He just needs a little more time to completely heal. He loves to run and explore in the yard and he’s doing great with his leash training so an experienced person that can continue his basic training would be best. He’s also doing wonderful with his crate and house training. When first meeting, Sammy can be a little shy. But he warms up very quickly and just wants someone that will cuddle with him. He does try to play with his current foster dog and cat siblings, but they want nothing to do with him so we need to move him to a new foster home. A home that has another playful dog would be great! He’s also wonderful with children so kids over 8yrs old would be fine. During foster, all supplies are provided. He is not yet neutered so at adoption, his surgery will be scheduled.
