NO DOGS. ** VET TREATED, NEEDS ONE EYE EVALUATED FROM HEREDITARY ISSUE. I'm a very loving, kind-hearted and gentle soul, but I am nervous and have to adjust to everything new. Rest assured, your patience will be rewarded when I show you that I'm the most wonderful kitty! Having a friendly cat buddy will make adjusting easier for me! If there are electronic toys out, I don't take long to come out of hiding and start playing like nothing else is going on! I love electronic toys that spin around, my favorite is the toy moving under a sheet with the butterfly flying on top (from Amazon). I have fun with lots of toys though! I like playing in pop-up tents or cubes and sometimes the tunnel. I love cardboard scratchers and little toys. I enjoy having blankets to lay on, and a big cozy bed would be great! I'm great at climbing and would love to have a cat tree! I'm a little afraid of hands and will back away, but WILL let you pet me and start to calm down, and even purr loudly! Be persistent but patient and pretty soon I will start to enjoy it and know that you love me! Sorry if I make you chase me to pick me up for a while, but grab a wand toy and start playing with me to lighten the mood and make it easier to grab me. Plus, I'll see that you actually like to have fun with toys too! Give me three or four yummy treats everyday to help win me over!

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.
Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.
Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
