Leo is a sweet, 1-year-old German shepherd mix who’s looking for his forever family. With his timid nature around new people, Leo would thrive in a foster-to-adopt situation, giving him time to adjust and settle into his new home at his own pace. Experience with German Shepherds would be a big plus!
About Leo:
• Training: Extremely Smart! Crate trained, house trained, and knows basic commands (sit, come, and down). He’s very food-motivated, making training easy. As a young pup, he’ll need continued guidance and training.
• Personality: Sweet and affectionate once he knows you, Leo is a bit shy initially but full of love once he feels comfortable.
• Favorite Things: Loves playing ball and chewing on bones, so a yard would be ideal.
Other Dogs, Cats & Children: As he’s still learning how to “play”, Leo can be a little rough, so he might thrive as the only dog in the home or with a dog of similar size and energy to help guide him. Leo is actually scared of cats and will run away from them! He hasn’t met children yet, but due to his size and puppy energy, older kids might be a better fit.
Ideal Home: Leo would do best with someone who understands his needs and can provide the patience and guidance he needs to flourish, allowing him plenty of time and slow introductions to settle in and feel secure in his new home!
If you’re searching for a loyal companion who’ll stick by your side, Leo is the perfect match!
