With beautiful brown eyes, a soft black coat, and the sweetest doggie smile, Marigold is someone you have to meet. This 5 year old Border collie mix has all the intelligence, eagerness to learn, and desire to please that makes the Border collie so admirable.
Marigold didn't have an easy life before she came to be fostered, so she's a little shy when first meeting people. Once she gets to know you, however, she will follow you everywhere, reminding you that breaks for snuggles and cuddles are allowed on even the strictest schedules. Pets on her forehead put her into a trance and lull her off to sleep.
Marigold loves affection, and once she knows she's safe around a new adult, she turns on the charm. Children inspire her trust, and she's very open and friendly with the little ones, especially when they're doling out pets.
This resilient girl loves peanut butter, among other snacks, and has impressed her foster mom with how gently she takes treats, which she sometimes hides to save for later.
Life in a happy, loving home is all new to Marigold, and she's thrilled with this change in her situation. She's a very fast learner, and is currently working on her diploma in leash walking. Not used to luxuries, Marigold revels in having her own bed to stretch out in. The way she's responded to kindness and consistency is incredible, and she takes each new challenge as an adventure. Toys, attention, being free to roam in a yard or in the house are all glorious experiences for her, and her joy in life is a wonder to behold. She comes readily when called inside, because she knows good things await her there.

We are a tax exempt nonprofit 501c3 based in San Antonio,Texas. Formed in 2017, our mission is to raise funds for animal rescue and find forever homes for our adoptable cats and dogs. Donations are used for veterinary costs, intake fees to animal rescue providers, transport costs to rescue partners and animal fostering costs. To fund our charitable animal rescue efforts we rely solely on the much needed donations of our generous supporters. We can't do it without you!
