If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Petey was found by me on the road with a broken leg after being hit by a car (2014). Hes 11ish now.
He lives on 1.6 acres with a doggy door and comes and goes as he pleases. Have left for 2 weeks with an auto feeder/waterer and our dogs never tear anything up. Just have to sweep when we return.
Petey is gentle with my 2 year old son, obedient, healthy, a bit of a derp, loves to hike, retrieve his tennis ball in the lake, go on walks, butt scratches, car rides, and overall just a great companion. He’s a derpy dude. He’s well balanced on affection. Sometimes cuddles up other times just wants to lay on his bed or dog hammock.
I am retiring and we are moving in to our RV full time. Petey would do fine in the RV, but I know he thrives outdoors. Id love for him to be owned by a farmer, someone with land he can explore, or an active couple that wants to take him out often. He does well with female dogs and is hit or miss with males. Has never bitten a dog or anyone.
