Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

Meet the Apple litter. Each puppy is so unique looking, and their DNA is just as unique! While mostly GSD, there is a bit Labrador / Catahoula / Husky and more. Lots of fun and friendly breeds. DNA is guessing they will be between 50-75#.
Pink Lady has the cutest pink on her nose and the coolest markings. She can be a little shy at first but she's also with her crazy pack. She soooo wants to get all the loving. She has met both big dogs and little dogs in foster and is doing great.
We think their ideal home has a large fenced yard and a family ready to get this puppy out and socialized. Of course another friendly dog is always great. They are currently in foster homes with other dogs, and learning all things puppy, crate training, leash walking, etc.
These puppies were found in an orchard outside of Fresno CA, unfortunately the litter of 11 got Parvo and we lost 5 due to how run down they were when found. But 6 survived and are now happy, healthy pups ready for new adventures.
This puppy is spayed/neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot!
The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training.
Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and $100 refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience). You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit.
Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
