HOLY CHOW! Check out Kelly! Kelly is an amazing gal who is guessed to be about three years old and is a bit underweight at 35 pounds. Kelly came to us when her owner could no longer take good care of her. Kelly is happy girl who bounces when excited! She's energetic and loves to go for walks. She is scared of some men and will need time to warm up to them. She seems to be much more comfortable and happy with women.

Kelly has gotten along with a playful, submissive male dog but has been aggressive to an older, dominant female. Kelly is house trained and has good indoor manners. She really is a precious girl and we hope to find her a family that adores the chow chow breed as much as we do!

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
