Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

Meet Mariposa! She is one sweet baby... and smart too. She and her sisters are super friendly and ready for an active home. We think they would be great as an only dog - as long as cuddles and walks are on the daily schedule. :) They also play well together and in foster love the resident dogs. DNA has them as mostly 'Bully' but there are oodles of other breeds too. They were born at the end of March. She's crate trained, great with other dogs. Mari will likely be in the 50-60# range when fully grown. She was born at the end of March and is about 26#. Mari is loves good couch cuddles at night. She's VERY food motivated and has been such a delight.
This puppy is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Mariposa was recently put on pet insurance while waiting for her forever home and has been cleared orthopedically.
Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and $100 refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience). You simply pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit.
Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood.
Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
