Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Zoey and I came to the shelter when my previous owner could no longer care for me. I am reported to be good with kids and other animals but I spent most of my life outdoors so I may need some training on manners and how to be a good indoor pup. Despite my age - I am a sweet-faced old girl who has some spunk and agile despire my age. I am ready to give you a life FULL oof so much love. Please consider giving me a comfy spot to spend my golden years in, I promise you won`t regret it.
Insights from my Dog Day Out:
`Zoey is an older gal but has plenty of energy. She’s very busy, sniffing and examining everything. We went for a walk at Blackwood Farm Park, where she got to smell all the smells! She seemed eager to play with other dogs, although we kept our distance. We then went to Woof Gang bakery, where she tried several different flavors of treats and preferred the meat-based ones. She is such a sweet girl!`

Services:
Animal Services has animals available for adoption, and also partners with area rescue organizations to place as many animals as possible with loving homes. We provide animal intake services and Animal Control services to the unincorporated portion of Orange County and Hillsborough and are responsible for enforcing State and County laws that apply to animals (including cruelty laws, nuisance animals and dangerous wildlife). We also manage licensing and offer many other services such as community spay/neuter programs.

Animal Services Mission:
The Animal Services Department strives to meet the needs of residents by working with volunteers and other partners to deliver cost-effective and integrated sheltering and animal control services that ensure the health, safety and well being of humans, pets and the community as a whole. Addressing the problem of pet overpopulation with a proactive and positive approach is an integral ingredient of the department’s mission.
