My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She is the perfect kitten! She is calm, quiet, and very sweet. She can be timid and little scared with people at first. She needs to know she can trust you not to harm her and likes to be approached slowly. Once she knows you have been patient with her, she will warm up to you and purr up a storm when you rub behind her ears and stroke under her chin. She appreciates being rubbed on her belly and once she gets to know you, she will go "belly up for you! She can feel overwhelmed at times and is better suited in a quieter environment. She loves spending her downtime cuddled up in a cubby somewhere but will shortly return when ready. She makes a perfect companion and longs for a safe and loving home.

Halle has a sister named Harley whom she can be found taking a nap with, playing and grooming. She would love to be adopted together with her sister but it is not a requirement. Please see Harley at: KR ID#: KRLA-A-5506

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
