My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Morgan! Life's a game to me, full of exciting smells, sights, and sounds. My days are spent exploring, learning, and playing. I'm always ready for a good game of fetch or a challenging puzzle toy. My smarts match my energy, and I'm eager to show off my tricks for a treat or two. I'm also quite the love bug, always ready for a cuddle and a belly rub. My sweetness is as boundless as my energy. I'm looking for a forever home where my zest for life, my intelligence, and my loving nature will be cherished. Adopt me and let's embark on life's adventures together!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
