Hi folks! My name is Sailor and I am a sweet, loving, medium energy pup. I am approximately 4 years old and weigh about 17 pounds. I have a beautiful, silky, soft coat that is wonderful to pet.
I get so excited when I go for walks with my foster mom. When we walk my little legs fly down the street and I must sniff everything. After we walk, I love sitting on my foster mom’s lap. While on her lap she gives me belly rubs that are the best! I am a dog that loves human attention. When we are at home I am almost always in the same room with my foster mom. I like to sit next to her, sleep on the floor next to her, and sleep near her on the bed. I like children and I like to play with my two kittens.
Other good qualities about me include being almost 99% house trained. The occasional accident is because my foster mom lets me go too long in between walks (I am good up to about 4 hours) or because I have not yet learned a doggie signal for when I want to go outside. I have a great appetite and am not too fussy about what I eat. I will bark when I hear noises outside, but I am not a constant barker.
When my foster mom and I go for a walk I am cautious when I meet new dogs. I like some dogs, am indifferent to others, and there are some that do not like me and I do not like them. My foster mom lets me meet new dogs slowly.
My foster mom says I am a little guy with a big heart. Please know that when I find my forever person and home I will try my best to be a great dog and my big heart will love you forever.
He will need another dog in the home or someone that is home most of the time. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. He is located in IL
