My name is Genji!

This is Genji, rescued and adopted in 2020, he is 4. He is very playful and curious. As a kitten always wanted to go outside, so started him off on leash. Then every time we would open the door he would run outside and stay around the house and neighbors, then venture out more and more but always come home to eat and sleep. Sometimes stay in and sleep for days. He loves the best of both worlds, as an indoor/outdoor cat.
The home I leased sold and we moved to an apartment. He’s unable to roam outside and has been not himself: he wants to go outside. I tried the leash thing again but no, he’s more of an independent tom cat and wants to go on his own. He is chipped and also has a collar with iTag.
I feel this is unfair and cruel, and want what is best for him. He is the best cat ever and I do not want to, but he deserves room and a family. He is so very loving and quite the character. Please help us give him the best life! :)
