Hi, my name is Sunny, (my friends call me Sweet Sunny or Sweetheart). Oh, my foster mom said you’d like to know my age and I should tell you a little more about myself... I’m a 3 year old local lab mix. I lost my home due to recent flooding so I’m looking to start a new chapter. I’m getting caught up on some medical care while I’m with Potters. I try to hold really still for my foster mom when she puts drops in my ear and gives me baths (I’m wrapping up treatment for an ear infection and skin irritation). I tested positive for heartworm but treatment is simply a monthly dose of preventatives.
I love being near my people but I make sure to give them their space and not pester them for attention. I’m content to just hang in the same room with them, but if a girl can dream, this one would love a home with couch privileges. I love my people so much that I fuss a bit when they leave but I settle down after a few minutes. My foster mom says I’m a pretty chill girl, have a gentle soul, but am also a little dainty. I’m not super food or toy motivated, I just want to be near my people. I sleep and hang great in my crate and am a perfect houseguest. I’d probably get along with calm dogs and kids. I haven’t been cat tested but I haven’t shown any interest in the resident ducks and chickens at my foster home, so I may be ok with cats as well.
