My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Waldo is fostered in Waterford, MI.

Hello potential adopters! Quick question.... Do you know the "Where's Waldo?" books with the guy in the red and white sweater? Well, look no further because you just found him! Our Waldo (affectionately called Wally) is way cuter, adorable, and 4-legged!

Wally is a standard size, blue merle malewith a bobtail and lots of personality in a 45 lb. package! He is about 14 months old. He came into rescue from an Amish farm.  Wally is an adolescent so that means typical aussie energy and playfulness. Wally enjoys running, playing, and hanging with his foster family. He would love to join you in whatever adventures or outings you would like to include him in.

Wally is good with other dogs, so if you have one already, great! If not, no problem. He would enjoy playdates with other dogs if possible.  Wally is potty trained and crate trained. He is smart and eager to learn new things! He would love a family that will engage him in activities that will challenge him mentally and physically and this will also help in creating a bond with him. He also has a silly personality that is irresistible!

Wally was a little timid/shy when meeting new people or being in new situations or environments, but he has made a lot of progress accepting and being comfortable with new experiences. Wally would love a more active family looking for their forever fur friend! In return he will be a loyal and lively companion who will bring joy and entertainment to your life!

Does Wally sound like your match? If so, and you would like to chat about or meet Wally, just click on Adopt and fill out the application.  We will be waiting to hear from you!

Wally is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks, and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm preventatives for all past and current pets is required to be adopted from us. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, see our adoption fees, and find a link to our adoption application.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
