Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Alex is a sweet, approximately 3-4 year old, 10 lb Yorkie male. When he was rescued he was matted so badly he needed to shaved. He hair is growing back and he is going to have a beautiful coat, possibly more chocolate/tan than black/tan. Alex loves to be where people are. Potty skills are coming along nicely; leash skills are unknown. He gets along well with other dogs and will need another dog in the home. NO big dogs, NO apartments, NO swimming pools unless it is completely fenced off from the rest of the yard and inaccessible to this little guy.
He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, fecal and Heartworm neg and had a dental
Adoption fee is $550.00
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, heartworm negative, neuter, 4DX negative, and dental have been completed and are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with the foster to set up a meet and greet. We are a foster based RESCUE, not a shelter. All of our dogs are in individual foster homes. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
