Loving and so affectionate....That's our Taffy!
Taffy is a male, approximately 2 year old, 12lb Silky Terrier that is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! Taffy came from a very sad situation. He was found in a cage in someone's backyard crammed with another dog and kept in there 24/7. Next to these non neutered male dogs was a female, 4lb dog in heat and you can imagine how worked up these dogs all got. Thankfully a neighbor who is a vet tech confronted the owners and got them to surrender all the dogs to our rescue. These poor dogs came to us so matted, so filthy, and so full of fleas. They were most likely going to be used for backyard breeding and never got to experience one ounce of love. They are now safe with us and in the most amazing foster home who is giving them all the love and more that they could ever imagine! Taffy is an amazing little dog! He could definitely be your one and only if you are home most of the day and will take him everywhere with you. He loves to be spoiled, loves to cuddle, and loves to love! He is the type of dog that bonds to his person. He wants to be with you on the couch and in bed, so a home that allows dogs on the furniture is a must! Even though he is young, he doesn't seem to be too interested in playing with other dogs, although he is fine with them, but if you are looking for a "playmate" for your dog, he would not be a match. He is more invested in people and really infatuated with them. Taffy is getting the hang of potty training but with outdoor acess, he will learn quickly! This sweet boy and his friends did not have kind owners who loved them the way they deserved to be, so we are looking for the most perfect home out there that will cherish him the way he deserves to be.
Taffy is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
