My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boots is one of those special 6 month old boys that has passed that aggravating and challenging stage of chewing on everything he sees as a young and impetuous puppy.  He is housebroken now at the ripe age of 6 months and weighing 25 pounds.  He is going to be a 30-35 pound adult male Whippet mix that will keep you active and on your toes as he lives life in a most vibrant and happy way.  He loves to cuddle and oh my what a real cuddle bug he is!  Such a sweet natured pup that loves to be near his people and his favorite things in life.  Gentle is a more than appropriate word for Boots. He loves to play and will make you laugh with his fun shenanigans. He runs like a Whippet and has the best spring system in his paws to bounce as he can jump straight up several feet in the air. If you are wanting an agility dog then he could be the one for you!!!   He is competitive for food treats and he wants to PLEASE HIS HUMAN!   He is not a fan of a kennel but he is learning.  It is necessary until he learns NOT to harm a thing in the home when parents are gone.  With a treat going in to the kennel he is fine!!!  Boots is submissive with other dogs and fine with cats.  He is a playful boy with a great nature that is very moldable.  He will learn what type of play the other dogs needs in the current home and he will adjust.  Boots is small, smart and simply the best.  Can you give Boots your heart?   Can you accept the BIG HEART that he has to give YOU!????? If so, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask for an adoption form please!

PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
