My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little beauty is Lotus, an approximately 10 month old, 10lb, female, Schnauzer that is the cutest thing in person! Lotus was seen running across a busy street almost getting hit by cars. Neighbors in that area said she had been doing that for a few days, but nobody cared to bring her to safety until a very kind woman heard what was going on and got Lotus away from that danger and to the safety of her own. She reached out to us for help and to see if we could take Lotus into our rescue and we said yes! We had her scanned for a microchip which there wasn't and then we held her on a stray hold, but nobody ever came to claim her. Lotus is now with an amazing foster who has nothing but wonderful things to say about her! She does take time to warm which it totally understandable as humans were not very kind to her in her past. We are looking for a dog savvy owner that preferably knows the Schnauzer breed well. Owners that are not gone long hours during the day would be ideal as she is a flight risk and we need a home that will implement all the rules that a flight risk dog needs. Lotus definitely needs another small breed friend that is playful and loving as she is very social with other dogs. If you have the time, the patience, and the love to dedicate to this sweet girl that has been through so much in her life....feel free to contact us or fill out an application.

Lotus is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.

More about this rescue

THE FORGOTTEN DOG FOUNDATION rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes shelter, stray, abused and abandoned dogs. Our goal is to place our rescues in foster homes rather than in boarding facilities. After temperament assessment, needed veterinary services, and lots of attention and socialization we carefully screen and place these dogs in loving forever homes.
