BamBam was found as a stray in Speedway and brought to Speedway's animal control. During that time he did great with other dogs and humans in a controlled setting. He loves to play and knows some commands, like sit. He would do best in a home without other dogs at this time, as he compulsively likes to hump other animals, and doesn't listen to corrections from the other dog. While this behavior may go away with time (he was neutered on 8/20), it is currently an ongoing issue as of 8/23.
BamBam needs a home with an experienced owner. He is also available for foster-to-adopt, and we are willing to provide a behaviorist to work through his compulsive humping, which also extends to objects. Our trainer's assessment is that a behaviorist who can prescribe behavior meds while we work through this issue could be helpful. We are also looking for a home with no kids at this time, as BamBam could easily knock over a child with his size.

All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).
To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.
Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

More about this rescue
We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
