We may be a little bias, but we think Ginger is one of the absolute best cats around. You won't find a personality better than hers anywhere. She's affectionate, outgoing, talkative, gentle and all around a loving and perfect girl. Okay, maybe we've gotten a little attached since she has spent so much time at the rescue. She came in as a kitten and during a routine vet checkup, it was discovered that she had a condition called "pectus excavatum. She required a complex orthopedic surgery when she was 4 months old, which went well and required a few months of after-care which Ginger handled like a champ. Because this condition is an orthopedic one and she was still growing, we held her in foster care until she was one year old and we were sure that her growth wasn't going to cause a resurgence of the issue. Luckily, her vet specialist has cleared her for adoption and said she should be able to live a perfectly normal life from here on out (and she has acted like a totally normal cat, keeping her positive attitude all along the way). That said, we'd still like her to go to a home who has done some research on this condition and while complications aren't expected, Ginger deserves a home willing to do whatever it takes for her in case something changes in regard to her pectus condition down the line. While it may sound complicated, we assure you the love she has to give is well worth it, she is an amazing, committed and perfect cat, looking for an equally wonderful forever home.

We understand the One Love application process may seem tedious, but, most One Love animals have been rescued from traumatic situations or have faced severe health issues. All of them have needed much love and attention from the One Love team to get them where they are today, ready for adoption! They have all been cared for in our foster homes where our team of volunteers works one on one with each animal to ensure they become happy, healthy and comfortable. We care very much for each and every animal that comes through our doors and we do everything we can to make sure they find homes that are the best possible match for their unique personalities.
