My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Merida, the 7-month-old Pyr/Golden mix with a heart as golden as her coat. Weighing in at a svelte 60 pounds, Merida is all about playtime, puppy energy, and making you fall head over heels for her quirky charms. With a blend of Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever in her DNA, she’s got the looks, the brains, and a bit of that endearing stubborn streak that comes with the package.

Merida is the kind of pup who believes that life is meant to be lived on the go—preferably with some four-legged friends by her side. She’s a social butterfly, cautiously approaching new doggie pals before diving headfirst into playtime. Her ideal home? One with other dogs who can keep up with her zest for life and a patient human who’s ready to guide her through the nuances of being a well-mannered pup.

Now, let’s talk quirks. Merida’s not a fan of the quiet life—she’ll fill any silence with a few well-placed whines or howls, especially if she feels like she’s missing out on some fun. She’s still figuring out this whole “leash” business and prefers to flop down and protest rather than take a stroll, but with time and a little patience, she’ll get the hang of it.

Merida’s got a thing for toys—especially the ones that let her unleash her inner fluff monster. Fetch is a favorite, even if she occasionally forgets what she’s supposed to be doing mid-chase. And don’t even get us started on her love affair with her food bowl. When it’s empty, she’s not shy about tossing it around to let you know it’s time for a refill.

Merida’s still a work in progress, but aren’t we all? She is potty trained, getting the hang of kennel life, and learning what is and isn’t a chew toy (paper and cardboard, beware). With a little guidance, she’s bound to become the perfect companion for someone who’s ready for the adventure of raising a not-so-little puppy with a big personality. If you’re looking for a young dog with the energy to keep up with an active lifestyle and the charm to steal your heart, Merida might just be your perfect match.
