My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Kloe, and I am a shy and scared lady that was unfortunately brought here to the shelter because my owner went to jail. I'm now here at the shelter, and I'll be honest - I'm not a fan! I know that everyone means well and treats me kindly, but all the loud noise and people coming in and out make me very uneasy. I want to trust, but I am unsure of how to do that. In my future home, I really need someone that will go slow with me and be patient while I adjust. I am starting to make friends here with the staff and volunteers, so I definitely have the potential! Because of my hesitance and fearfulness around people, I would prefer a home with teenagers and older that will give me space and not push my boundaries. I seem to be okay with the other mild-mannered dogs here, and I did live with another dog in my previous home, so I may be able to go home with another dog if they are more mellow like me. I do have resource guarding tendencies with food though, so if I did go home with another dog, we would need to be fed separately. Think you are patient and willing to help a girl like me come out of her shell and give her confidence? I'll be anxiously waiting to meet you!
