My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️

Meet Giri🧡(It means oats in Korean)

Giri and his sibling Hyeonmi were staying at Korean city shelter together, relying on each other. Because he was still young and the infectious disease was spreading in the shelter, Adogs rescued him and Hyeonmi. Currently, he is staying well at the Adogs Center while waiting for his family.

* With People: Enjoys human touch, but becomes nervous when people try to touch him, seemingly due to his previous experience at the shelter. Is afraid of strangers, but likes and greets people with a wagging tail once he warms up.
* With Dogs: Gets along well with his sibling, Hyeonmi, and other dogs at the Center. Is a cute scaredy-cat, so he immediately lies down in surrender when other dogs play aggressively.
* Separation Anxiety: Unknown yet because he resides at the Center in a group.
* Potty Training: Only uses outdoor potty because he resides at the Center in a group.
* Walks: Isn’t used to walks yet so he pulls on the leash a little and shows a bit of discomfort. He sits after taking a few steps, so he needs practice getting comfortable.

💌Special Notes💌
* Occasionally tries to bite defensively when forced to be held or suddenly touched, so training is required.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
