My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hyunmi💕 (It means brown rice in Korean)

* With People: Is friendly with people, but a little shy! Will wag his tail in greeting, but is surprised if you try to touch him too quickly. When you pick him up, he's happy to be picked up, and he'll sit back and relax with his tail wagging. Recently, he looks like being accustomed to human touch. Shows his belly when people approach.
* With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs and loves to lie down and play with his close friends! When unfamiliar friends approach him, he is initially scared and stays down on the floor.
* Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed since he resides with other dogs at the center.
* Potty Training: Mostly does his potty outside, but goes potty indoors once or twice!
* Hygiene: Takes both baths and grooming very well.
* Car sickness: Doesn't have a big problem with short car rides!

💟 Special Notes💟

* Is somewhat timid and may squeal when startled by rough play.
* Sometimes barks when he needs something or when he wants to play with his friends.
* Has coprophagia, so you need to clean up the feces quickly.
* Is well-trained in the kennel.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
