My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Hayley! We believe that she is a 2 or 3-year-old Longhaired Dachshund mix. She currently weighs 16 pounds.

Hayley came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on August 24th. She was surrendered to us with her parents and siblings when her previous owner could no longer afford to care for them.

Hayley was adopted from us at the end of August and recently returned. Her previous adopter stated that Hayley was a sweet dog and loved to cuddle, but was stressed having 3 young children around her. Because of this, we believe that she would do best in a home with no children or older children.

Since she has been back in care, staff members say that she is a quiet and sweet gal with lots of love to give. She keeps her kennel clean and potties as soon as she gets outside. She is a little nervous in new surroundings so she will need some time to adjust to a new home but we are confident she will warm up to her new family quickly. After she learned that she was safe with us, she started to show us love almost immediately!

Her adoption fee is $500. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, spay, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption.

In addition to their adoption fee, there is a $40 fee to cover the 6 months of heartworm prevention we will send home with each adoptee.

The next step to adopt from Judy's Forgotten Jewells is to apply. To apply, visit our website and click the "Apply for Adoption" button on a specific pet's profile. See our adoptable pets and apply: https://judysforgottenjewells.com/view-our-adoptable-pets

Contact us via email: judysforgottenjewellsSTL@gmail.com. Please note that sending an email about a pet is not the same as applying. You must apply to begin the adoption process. Our phone number is for our animal hospital so it is frequently busy. E-mail is the easiest way to communicate with the rescue if you have specific questions.
