Meet Sammy, a sweet 8-year-old female cat who's just as gentle as she is resilient. Recently recovering from surgery to remove a mass on her lip, Sammy is still a bit bashful but has a heart full of affection. Her foster mom describes her as sleepy, gentle, attentive and sweet. She loves being petted and receiving scritches on her head and neck especially. If you're looking for a loving, polite companion who enjoys long naps and will shower you with tender purrs, Sammy is ready to share her sweet nature with you. Email us to adopt!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
