My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗

Meet Mango :)

She was rescued from a high-kill city shelter and was about to be euthanized. However, due to her refusal to be touched by strangers, she underwent a lengthy training program with her foster family and is now doing very well.
If you give her enough time and unconditional love, he will become your best friend.

• Affinity with
-Cats: She is currently doing well with the cats in her temporary home. She is not aggressive towards cats and ignores them.
-Dogs: She is currently getting along well with the dogs in her foster home. They usually play well together, but there are times when she is shy.
-Adults/Kids: She is shy with people, and is good with people she knows well (she gets treats), but is very cautious with touch. Sudden touch from strangers (adults & kids) can cause her to act defensive (she hasn't bitten yet but acts like she will, or she pees when picked up and held suddenly, or she jumps away), but she will sniff and recognize when approached cautiously.

• Walking Manner:
She loves to go for walks, in both familiar and new places. Sometimes hesitates to go for a walk in crowded places (but does well in moderate crowds).

• Housetrained:
She's housebroken and doesn't cause too many problems, but she still chews on wood and plastic items. She goes potty on her pee pad, but much prefers to do her business outdoors. When outdoors, he relieves himself on dirt or grass.

• Shedding:
Usually, her coat will increase when winter comes. The fur gets stuck to the fabric rather than shedding.

• Bathing/Brushing:
She takes baths well (though not her favorite). She also likes to be brushed.

• Separation Anxiety:
She has always lived with other dogs but has no problem when her foster family goes out of town.

• Bark or Howl:
She barks when she hears strangers outside. She barks when strangers come to visit, but there's no aggression - she doesn't howl.

• Carsickness:
She gets nervous when riding in the car, so she can get car sick when traveling for long periods. She tolerates it well for about 30 minutes.

• Her favorite things are a set routine, family, walks, playing in the park, and her favorite treats (tridles, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cheese, chicken, beef, duck, etc.)

• Personality:
She is a little timid, cautious, gentle, and good-natured. She loves going for walks with her family, spending time at her favorite park, and just being at home with her family. She also loves walks, parks, and hikes, and at home, she's happy to be in her own space (fluffy or crate) or sit quietly by her family's side.
