My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TWILA is a 3-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi (DOB 3-21-21) Who was retired from an Amish breeding form. She is a happy, friendly girl who is currently in a foster home learning the finer arts of living in a home – i.e. housebreaking, what is a TV, etc. She rides well in a car and is the perfect size for a travel companion. Twila is loooong backed and her new family must be careful to not put too much weight on her and to keep her fit without too much jumping (especially jumping down which can cause stress on the back) So, in a nutshell, Corgi-Proof your home! Twila is good with other dogs, cats and, we presume horses since she came from an Amish farm. We have not had her round children but have no reason to believe she would not be good with children – she is sweet as pie. Twila has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm and tick borne disease negative and has been microchipped. Adoption $400. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org If your family it would be a good match for Twila!

Go meet their pets

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
