Frito is a pretty happy go lucky guy who isn’t bothered by much. He’s a simple guy who loves a good chew, shred, and sniff. Frito is an adolescent dog but isn’t always on the go. With some activity, a good game of tug, and a chew or puzzle little man likes to enjoy a nice nap.

Frito doesn’t know a stranger and he’s working on ignoring people on walks, he thinks everyone wants to meet him, most do because he’s cute AF. He walks well on a leash, checks-in, and isn’t really bothered by dogs, cats, squirrels, etc.

Frito is dog friendly though he has a rough play style but with some continued training, I think he can learn better play manners and better regulation around dogs! He’s been great with our resident dogs aside from trying to turn each play session into WWE Smackdown. A dog with similar play style may be best! Due to his roughness, Frito has been living separated from our resident dogs. They’re older and don’t tolerate his shit.

Frito is so easy in the house, overall very quiet, rarely barks even when our dogs bark. He goes into his crate like a champ and doesn’t make a peep, he currently sleeps in his crate at night as well.

Frito is so smart and he’s caught on quickly to training and is very food motivated!

Frito does have a spicy side. He’s diving headfirst into adolescence and is sometimes an asshole. In true bully breed fashion he likes to chew shit. He needs proper outlets to chew and shred or he will turn to other household items to fulfill that need! He also has moments where he gets a bit overstimulated and starts to mouth, which we’re working on!

Frito is also curious AF. A counter surfer, dishwasher licker, fridge inspector, you name it he’s got his face in it. He would benefit from someone patient who will continue to work on “4 on the floor.”

I think Frito could be a city, suburb, or small town dog. He’s not bothered by the city hussle and bussle. He catches on quickly to your schedule. He seems to like training, learning tricks, anything that works his brain which would be great to help meet his needs. He would also benefit from consistency in his training to ensure he learns proper manners throughout his adolescence!

He would NOT be a fit for an extra active family who wants a dog to adventure with. He’s not a dog that’s going to be able to walk miles, go for hikes, etc. He would be fine with a few shorter walks with lots of opportunities to sniff vs one very long walk.

I do think he’s got the potential to be a really  adaptable dog. I think he would be best for a dog owner with previous bully breed experience or someone who is willing to learn and work with him through his adolescent phase (it can be a bit of a challenge for sometimes!)! He’d love a backyard too but not necessary! Overall, he’s a great well rounded dog and he will thrive with someone who is patient and consistent with him!
