Moto Moto is very laid back and easy going and he will show that off to you when you harness him up for a walk and he patiently waits for you to be ready.

Loud noises and barking dogs do not phase him! We think that this can make him a candidate to live in an apartment building with passing traffic, other dogs and people.

He walks well on leash and is a calm walker. This guy is going to take you in all directions as he gently sniffs every corner and all the grass. The world is big and we have a feeling Moto Moto knows that since he is so eager to explore!

He is a happy boy with lots of tail wags, an affinity for sniffing and an eager heart looking for his home! Can you foster or adopt Moto Moto? Please come to AAC today and meet this explorer!

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day!
For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites.
For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.

Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older

The Austin Animal Center is open for adoptions every day from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please note, Adoption and Pet Resource Center lines close at 6:00 p.m. We're closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Thanksgiving Day to give our staff some time with family.
Interested adopters should come to the shelter during business hours to meet with a counselor start looking for a pet who'll be a good fit. Our counselors and volunteers are happy to help with that process.
