Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Birch is a handsome 4-month old male kitten who was entrusted to our care on August 10, 2024 along with his beautiful little sister (Maple). Unfortunately the individual(s) who brought them to HSOV did not provide any information about them, so their history began the day that we met this sweet pair of siblings.
Birch has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable (rather mischievous-looking) face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.
This little lovebug is an affectionate, playful young man. He and his sister (Maple) are sharing a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room (one of our adoptable cat rooms). Birth and Maple are very bonded with each other and provide comfort/security for each other (and are terrific playmates). Birch and Maple were separated for a few days after they arrived, and we learned that Birch does not like to be by himself... He needs a kitty companion.
Birch was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on August 13-14, 2024.
Birch was neutered on August 20, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 5 lbs that day.
Birch is ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue .. And would like to bring his sister Maple along to their new home.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
