My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Petey, the 2-year-old heartthrob who's bursting with energy and personality! Found as a stray, Petey is a gorgeous boy who knows just how handsome he is—flash him a smile, call him "handsome," and you'll see that little grin light up his face. This charming goofball is all about bringing fun, happiness, and loyalty into your life. When Petey gets outside, he’s like a whirlwind of excitement, ready to zoom around and explore every inch of the yard. He’s got a playful streak a mile wide and isn’t shy about showing it! Whether it’s chasing after toys or just doing laps for the joy of it, Petey’s got energy to spare. But don’t worry—once he gets those zoomies out, he’s more than happy to kick back and relax, soaking up some quiet time.
Petey’s also a smart cookie—he knows how to sit like a pro and will wait (somewhat patiently) for you to toss his favorite toy. He might be a bit strong on the leash, especially when something exciting catches his eye, but underneath that energy is a sweet, good boy who just wants to please.
Though the kennel can make him a little anxious, outside is where Petey truly shines. He’s all that and a bag of chips—and yes, he might have even swiped a chip or two from a volunteer’s lunch (but we’re keeping that on the down low). Petey would do well in a home with children over 6, and while we’re still figuring out how he is with other dogs, we’re excited to find out with you during a meet and greet. Petey’s ready to bring his nutty, loveable energy into your life—are you ready to be his forever family?

More about this shelter

Euclid Pet Pals is the volunteer organization whose members care for the animals at the Euclid Animal Shelter, in Euclid, Ohio. We raise funds by offering personal and business memberships and cage sponsorships. Other fundraisers include a Bark-B-Q in May, a Clam Jam in October, and car washes in July. The money we raise is used to pay for veterinary care and medications, necessary supplies, and spay/neuters. We are dedicated to providing a healthy, loving environment for animals waiting to be adopted.
