My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Oscar is a male lab/pit mix and roughly about 4 years old.  He thinks he's a lap dog and underestimates his size (about 65 lbs), but will try and cuddle with you no matter where you are laying or sitting. He loves cuddling and snuggles and hugs! Oscar does a cute little ho and is so happy to see his foster family when they get home - his welcome home dance is adorable! He loves people and has proven to be great with kids, even toddlers.  He is selective with other dogs and would probably do best as the only dog in the home. He loves being outside and would do great with a fenced in yard because fetch is his favorite game.  He needs daily exercise, but after a game of fetch or a long walk he is happy to lounge on the couch, especially if there is a soft blanket or big pillow.  He is a velcro dog and will follow you from room to room just to be near you.  He is a wonderful dog and would make a great addition to someone's family

Oscar knows basic commands (sit, stay, paw, lay down, go to your bed, drop it) and is fully housebroken.  He's not destructive and can be left alone without having to be crated.   He is easy to bathe and lets you cut his nails without issue - the shedding is also minimal. His adoption fee is $450.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
