My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lisa!

This sweet girl joined our rescue about two months ago with a group of girls from a backyard breeder and is now ready to look for her people! Lisa is 3.5 years old, about 50lbs and a Standard Poodle. She's is a "cafe au lait poodle and her coloring is absolutely stunning and so unique!

Lisa LOVES other dogs and truly depends on being with one or more in her forever home. She grew up in a home with 8 other dogs, up until 2 months ago - so she's truly a pack dog and thrives with other dogs Bonus, she's also okay with cats!

She is a quiet homebody, who likes routine, rarely barks, likes lounging on the sofa, sleeping in bed and sunning herself outside Lisa can be nervous of new things, so she isn't a dog that wants to go everywhere or have a busy house. She requires a 6ft fenced yard, another dog (the more the merrier!) and an adult only home.

Lisa is spayed, has had a dental cleaning and is vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $400 and she is in St Petersburg.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
