My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Onyx is affectionate, loving and people friendly. She has good house manners, is pretty laid back, calm and easy going. Onyx enjoys spending time being near her people and she is inquisitive, friendly and interested in whatever you happen to be doing. She is a great movie watching companion! Onyx rejoices rolling around in catnip and when she is tired, she chooses lazing on the couch or countertop. She is very curious and nosy and has a desire to explore the hidden parts of the house - especially the cabinets, closets and pantry. Onyx appreciates being scratched, petted, brushed and cherished, but sometimes she gets over stimulated by all the goodness, and she communicates back by gently biting or nipping. She can be picked up, held, carried and she tolerates a nail trim, but Onyx expects a lickable treat while enduring her pedicures. She is frightened of thunder and lightning. During the storm, Onyx will become a Velcro kitty to her human companion or seek shelter in a safe spot until the storm passes. Her ideal home is with an individual, couple or family with older children as she nips when over stimulated or to communicate when she is done with an activity. Onyx is reserved and cautious around other cats; she can be hissy and will swat. Onyx is tolerant and accepting of cat-friendly dogs; tends to ignore them and prefers to be ignored by them. She has a black medium length coat and flaunts green eyes. Onyx is 2 years old.
