Bear is an adorable one-year old female kitty who was brought to the HSOV on August 7, 2024 along with her companions (Smokey and Wayne) by a Good Samaritan who found them at a campground near Marietta Ohio. Bear is likely Smokey's little sister.
Bear has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with green/gold eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers.
This little sweetheart has an affectionate playful disposition and a delightful personality. Bear is a pushover for attention.
Bear was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on August 10, 2024.
Bear was spayed on August 20, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She is a petite young lady who weighed 4.5 lbs that day.
Bear is ready to find the home of her dreams either through adoption or rescue.

Shelter management reviews applications for approval. If approved, potential adopters will be notified.

Take the Pet Home
All HSOV dogs and cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted and going to their new home.

Our adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted.
Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter.
Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered.
Adoption fees for other species varies.

We work very hard with our rescue groups to move our animals quickly and safely. We do this because we work for those who have no voice.
