Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Candi is a fun loving, playful, active Shepherd mix, who is fully vetted, HW neg and microchipped.
Though she does get along with most dogs, she would probably do best in a home where she is the only fur baby, receiving all the attention.
Candi is house broken, but as far as being crated...she prefers to not be confined, so we don't currently crate her.
Candi loves to go for walks, though she is very strong and wants to lead! She needs a strong hand and leash training.
She's a smart girl, and has learned to open the back door at her foster home.
If there is another dog in the home, Candi needs to be fed separately, as she will protect and scuffle over her meal!
She hates being alone, so another easy going dog or a family who is home most of the time, would be ideal for Candi. Shei loves cuddles and lots of attention!
*NO cats for Candi!
*****Candi is currently located in Dallas/Fort Worth, so transport would need to be arranged!*****
If interested in adopting, please feel free to fill out our adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org

Once the initial process has been complete, we verify vet references, conduct a home visit, and if approved, move forward with finalizing the pet adoption.

More about this rescue
Salvaged Souls Pet Rescue is based out of Texas, though we have expanded/transitioning to Colorado!
We are a registered 501c3, saving dogs from not only local (DFW) shelters, but also South Texas, Houston, San Antonio, Utah, and many other distant shelters.
We are also frequently asked to take owner surrenders, strays, abused and abandoned dogs, so we are happy to step up, as long as a local foster is willing to house a particular pet.
If we can make even a small difference in animal welfare, we are serving our purpose.
