My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bridget is an adorable, family oriented, sweet as pie puppy. Her life started out really tough.. she was born under a house and her mom was a feral dog. Thankfully, she has blossomed into the best girl in her foster home with lots of love and cuddles. Her mom appeared to be a boxer and dad is unknown. But based on the looks of the puppies, we are guessing he was a pittie. Her birthday is 6/26 so she is a little over 10 weeks old now. She will be a larger dog full grown, but currently weighs 15 pounds. She is a happy, playful girl who loves human attention and affection. She is so smart and learning every day, but will need continued training in her new home. She is amazing with kids, other dogs, and cats. She has puppy energy that turns into a long nap after playing. If you would like to meet her, apply at bcaaofnj.org

Submit Application

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.
