My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

GEORGIO ARMANI was living outside with his mum in someone’s backyard. The owner of the home reached out to the rescue to take him and his 2 siblings into find them their forever homes. He’s neutered, UTD on vaccines including rabies, had a flea and tick treatment and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. He’s a very handsome kitty who has come such a long way since arriving in his foster home. He now likes to be held and will snuggle for a bit but not for too long before he’s in search of new places to explore again.
GERGIO ARMANI is litter box trained and knew how to use it when he came into rescue. He loves to play with all the different cat toys he has and enjoys sitting in the cat tree watching the birds and squirrels play outside. He should do well with another cat in the home as long as they’re not a dominant one as he could easily be bossed around. He has a dog in his foster home but he doesn’t pay him any attention so if there’s a cat savvy dog in the home then he should do well with them providing a slow, monitored introduction is made. Children should be age 8 plus due to him never having met any up until this point.
GEORGIO ARMANI needs a patient adopter who knows it will take him a week or 2 to feel comfortable in his new home and settle in. He’ll probably hide for a few days before he’s comfortable enough to start exploring his new home too. Once he’s comfortable though he’ll reward his new owner with lots of purring and loving so he’s totally worth the wait.

If you’re interested in meeting GEORGIO ARMANI then please submit an adoption application.

Additional adoption info

Dogs: $750 (as of March 2024)
Cats: $250
The adoption process involves a brief application for the pet you are interested in. We will review your application and if you appear to be a good match for the pet, we will contact you for a phone interview. If that is successful we then do a vet reference check. If all goes well we will then set up a meet and greet for you and anyone else living in the home including any resident dogs with the pet. We then ask you to go home and contemplate your decision on adopting the pet and let us know your decision within 24hrs of meeting the pet. If applicable we will then move forward with the adoption at a mutually agreed upon time.

Go meet their pets

We only set up meet and greets with our animals once an adoption application has been submitted. We do occasionally have meet and greets with our animals at Global Pet Foods in the Barrie area.

You can check out the available pets on our rescuegroups website or on our rescue Facebook page.

More about this rescue

We’re a small rescue with a big mission to save animals in our Northern communities, local Pounds and owner surrenders (under certain circumstances.) We’re located in Barrie, Ontario and we serve the area of Simcoe County and within a two hour radius of the Barrie area.
Our intakes are placed in loving foster homes until they’re assessed, vetted including vaccines, microchip and a spay/neuter (if over 6 months of age) before they leave the rescue to be adopted. Female puppies are spayed at 6 months of age and males 8 months of age.)
We’re always looking for additional foster homes as we can only do intakes if we have foster homes for them to go into.
