My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we got Nala, she was scared and neglected. In the short time we had her though, she learned a few commands (sit, down, stay) which only took 4 days! We also know this much:

-she is only 1. So she still has puppy energy.

-Good with other dogs. Very playful and we think she will do best in a house with another dog who doesn’t mind rough play.

- Curious about cats, not prey driven.

-Great with kids. With both high and calm energy...lol she understands the difference.

- she loves attention, she likes to stay next to her hoomans. Does not seem to care to wander away.

- She would make a great running partner. My husband tested this.

- she is potty trained.

-crate trained. She will sleep inside crate and stay in when we leave the house. I still recommend this for a bit, she is still a baby!

- She loves bones. We have a collection of them, it keeps her entertained.

-Like many dogs, she will excel if she had basic training classes. We did so for our own dog and it was totally worth it!

Come visit us and meet our wonderful adoptable pets! All adoptions are first come, first serve. All pets in the shelter must be adopted in person at 1818 North Westmoreland Road.

You must be 18 years-old to adopt a pet.

When picking up your new pet, please bring your driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID.
